Adopt a Mile- For a minimum donation listed (to the right) for each mile, you can sponsor my run! Here's my commitment...I will only run the miles that have been sponsored by someone!! Augh! That's right-- I've been training for this event for over a year-- and if no one ends up sponsoring mile 13 (for example), that's where my marathon will end!! Don't let me down everyone!! All the donations will go straight to the Susan Mortensen Turley Foundation. All adoptees will also get a commemorative souvenir of their mile adoption, as well as be acknowledged on the back of the shirt I wear on race day.
Wondering why some miles cost more than others? I'll explain....
Mile 1- The start...where all hopes abound and all the excitement begins....need I say more?
Mile 21- Where runners typically "hit the wall", meaning this is likely going to be the hardest mile of my whole endeavor. I've only ever run 20 miles in a training run (I wasn't slacking off, that's the longest I was supposed to run), so mile 21 is starting unknown territory!
Mile .2 to the finish- Needs no explanation. :)
Here's a link to the course map in case you're interested in adopting your favorite mile from a geographic standpoint. :)

So spread the word to all your family and friends...let's adopt a whole marathon of miles for Susan's Foundation!!
To adopt a particular mile- email your request to me at anagram8@hotmail.com and I'll give you the details you need. I'll keep updating the blog with the names of who have sponsored what mile- so keep checking back! :)
